It is predominantly utilized to contain or otherwise control spirits such as [[Kabbalistic angel]]s and [[Goetic demon]]s.

It is similar to a summoning [[sigil]] but works with all spirits.

The ''[[Key of Solomon]]'' is the primary textual source describing the magic triangle. The text states:
