Talisman

A talisman is an object which is imbued with supernatural power through the engraving of certain images or words on certain materials, oftentimes making astrological considerations during its creation. The exact methodology varies between sources. Sometimes talismans are confused with amulets, and attempts to define one often overlaps with the other.
