Nachiel brings fame and success when invoked. He also rules over the daemon Sorath (the planetary spirit of the Sun). Sorath has the gematria of 666 and represents the oppressive power of the Sun.
Nachiel is one of the intelligences called upon in the Ritual to Attract a Lover from the Grimorium Verum.
Textual History
Nachiel is listed as the Planetary Intelligence of the Sun in the second of the Three Books of Occult Philosophy by Agrippa (1533). The same information is copied into MS Harley 6482, published more recently as A Treatise of Angel Magic, from an older document by Thomas Rudd (1583-1656) around 1699.
