Qed as depicted on the Dendera B Zodiac

Qed is the 28th decan of the main decanal stars of Egyptian astrology. The decan has its heliacal rise during the week of II Shemu 1-10 in the Egyptian calendar. Its name is translated as "the potter."

Name

"The Potter" or Qed, is one of the epithets of the primordial god Khnum, who was believed to have created humanity out of clay formed on the potter's wheel. He is strongly connected with water due to the annual arrival of nutrient rich sediments during the flooding of the Nile River.

Divination meaning

The Egyptian Star Oracle connects this decan with creation and artistry.

Characteristics

In ritual work, this decan can be called upon for many things, but especially for creative inspiration and help with artistic projects. Qed can also help with severe constipation (a problem generally caused by lack of water) and dehydration issues in general. Anything involving water can be associated with Qed.

The Dendera B zodiac ceiling depicts this decan as four wriggling snakes on top of a stone pillar.
