Difference between revisions of "Graphiel"

Graphiel is listed as the Planetary Intelligence of Mars in the second of the ''[[Three Books of Occult Philosophy]]'' by [[Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa|Agrippa]] (1533). The same information is copied into ''MS Harley 6482'', published more recently as ''A Treatise of Angel Magic'', from an older document by [[Thomas Rudd]] (1583-1656) from around 1699. In [[Aleister Crowley]]'s ''Equinox'' Volume 1, Issue 9 (1913) includes Graphiel in the ''Evocation of Bartzabel'', naming the [[Archangels|Archangel]] Kamael as his ruler. His ''Magick in Theory and In Practice'' (1929) also mentions Graphiel, describing him as knowing all there is to know in martial matters, and helpful in little else when performing [[divination]].
