Thagiriron ("The Disputers") is the sixth qlippoth on the Kabbalistic Tree of Death. It is the shadow opposite sphere of Tiferet, its opposing sefirot on the Tree of Life.

Etymology

The word Thagirion (תגרירון) derives from the Hebrew word tagari (תגרי), meaning "stimulate," "irritate," or "provoke." The sphere is usually rendered as "the Disputers."

In the Zohar, this qlippoth was originally called Hema (חֵמָה, romanized: ḥēmā) which is translated as "wrath."

Alternate spellings include Togarini, Thagirion, Tageriron, and Tagimron.

Description

Thagiriron is the opposite of Tiferet, which represents glory or beauty; therefore, it represents vanity, fake beauty, and spiritual emptiness. It is sometimes called "the lord of the dead" because although the dead may appear to have porcelain white skin and be in a state of perfect serenity, they are actually decaying from the inside out. The forces of this qlippoth will conceal beauty and truth while showing false things as being beautiful.

There is also an overwhelming element of discord inherent in Thagiriron as it tries to expel all the beauty and harmony found in Tiferet.

On the Tree of Death, Thagiriron exists in the Realm of Evil. This region is inhabited by qlippoth which actively seek to harm and even destroy mortals.
