Sign and characters of Fleurety from The Grand Grimoire

Fleurety is a demon in the hierarchy of Hell with the rank of lieutenant general.

Characteristics

In addition to being an officer in the hierarchy of demons, responsible for the governance of Hell, this demon is especially strong during the hours of darkness. The Grand Grimoire states that Fleurety has the power to do whatever someone might wish to do during the night, provided they use his seal and sign to properly summon him.

Fleurety is primarily a demon of the weather and can make hail fall wherever he wants. In his capacity as the lieutenant general of Hell, he commands many other spirits, including Bathin, Purson, and Eligos.

Textual history

Fleurety appears only in two grimoires, first in the Grimorium Verum (1817) , and shortly thereafter, in The Grand Grimoire (1821). These two texts are closely related, and were possibly even created by the same author, or by authors who worked together in magical practice.
