Agares (Hebrew: אגאר) is a Goetic demon. It is the second spirit of the 72 demons summoned by King Solomon according to the Lesser Key of Solomon. In the hierarchy of Hell, Agares is a Duke.
He is ruled over by the Kabbalistic angel Ieliel.
General description
He is under the Power of the East, and appears in the form of an old fair man, riding upon a crocodile, carrying a goshawk upon his fist, and yet mild in appearance.
He was of the Order of Virtues. He has under his government 31 Legions of Spirits.
Abilities
Agares makes people run who stand still, and brings back runaways. He teaches all Languages or Tongues presently. He has power also to destroy dignities both spiritual and temporal, and causes earthquakes. Astrologically, this spirit signifies immorality.
He is a servant demon of those born March 25 - 29.
