Hery-ib Wia
Hery-ib Wia is the 15th decan of the main decanal stars of Egyptian astrology. The decan has its heliacal rise during the week of I Peret 21-30 in the Egyptian calendar. Its name is translated as "middle of the boat" or "heart of the ship."
Name
The hieroglyphic for the human heart can also mean the word "middle." In the case of this decan, either translation will hold the same meaning.
Divination meaning
The Egyptian Star Oracle connects this decan with the concept of a journey through life. If this card is found in conjunction with Khery Heped En Kenmet (#3) then it is a clear sign that a major life change is about to occur, one that will alter your life path forever.
Characteristics
The Pyramid Texts and Coffin Texts use imagery of boats and barques to describe the journey of the deceased through the afterlife. Hery-ib Wia is a decan that can be called upon to aid with self-realization and self-improvement. Spell 262 from the Pyramid Texts states: “See then, you have reached the height of Heaven! You have seen yourself in the Night Barge. And it is you who have rowed it.”
The Dendera E zodiac ceiling depicts this decan as a baboon seated inside a barque with the solar disk of Ra around it. The Dendera D ceiling gives its minerals as glass and gold.
