Seven of Swords
The Seven of Swords is the seventh card in the suit of Swords. It usually stands for an attempt or plan. Quarreling, a plan that may fail, or annoyance.
General description
In the Rider-Waite Tarot deck, Pamela Colman Smith depicts the Seven of Swords as a man in the act of carrying away five swords rapidly; the two others of the card remain stuck in the ground. A camp is close at hand.
Divinatory meaning
Owing to the diplomatic and fox-like qualities of the house of Libra, the Querent may, by this card, attempt to steal the weapons of the opponent, as the figure suggests: using the arguments and fighting with the weapons of the enemy.
The Seven of Swords indicates everything in the line of material ability, from the science of the use of tools, crafts and arts up to tricks of abuse. It may equally favor a laborer, an engineer, a dentist, a surgeon and a burglar.
If reversed, the card can mean: Good advice neglected. Counsel, instruction, or slander.
